“Group meeting” is an integral part of graduate school. In our efforts to, as closely as possible, introduce SCC students to what graduate school is like, we hold an optional group meeting for research students at SCC.
What I did this summer: Luis Martinez-Cornejo presents his summer REU research at Cornell (30 min)
Project Overview: Refractive Indices of Nonideal Solutions by Bill Miller (1 hour)
Abstract: We measure the refractive indices of binary solutions. But why and what can it tell us? We present our previous work and how it will lead to this semester’s batch of new student projects.

Practice for Los Rios Board of Trustees Presentation (1 hr)
The Board of Trustees at LRCCD has asked to learn more about the Sacramento City College Undergraduate Research Initiative (SCCURI) at their October meeting, Wednesday October 14 at 5:30pm.
10/16/26
Student Presentations: Computational Chemistry
Each student or group of two students will present 3-5 slides about their project and their progress so far. Since group meeting is optional, students who will not present in person must record a video of their presentations and submit it on Canvas.
